By day, I am a PhD student. I am interested in linking ecological and evolutionary processes driving biological communities (populations of different species living in the same site). To explore this issue, I conduct lab and field experiments to understand how bacterial communities assemble on hosts (like you and me). Currently, I am working with the shore crab, Pachygrapsus transversus, associated microbial communities in the Texas Coast (See Research).
By night, I play a variety of small guitars and write music as a tool to communicate science (in English y en Español, see Music and Science and Otros/Others).
