Hello, I had the pleasure of visiting your beautiful village on Sunday April 5th with friends who live in Bristol. I loved how the buildings were preserved and how nice the church was too. I hope to come back again some time. I live in New York and it was one of the places I will always remember.

HELLO. IT IS A PLEASURE TO CONTACT MYSELF WITH YOU. I COMMENT TO THEM THAT I RESIDE IN THE ( ARGENTINE ) CITY OF "GOOD AIRS" IN "COGHLAN" NEIGHBORHOOD/LOCALITY, WHICH HAS THE PARTICULARITY AMONG OTHER THINGS OF POSSESSING ARCHITECTURAL IRISH AND ENGLISH INFLUENCE, ALREADY BE IN THE DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION OF THE TRAIN STATION AS LIKE ALSO IN THE ARCHITECTURE OF HIS PARTICULAR HOUSES, IN ADDITION THE NEIGHBORHOOD POSSESSES A PARK ABOUT THE TRAIN STATION, A PICTURESQUE SMALL SQUARE AND THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD THIS ONE FITTED BY WOODES STREETS, FOR ALL THAT AND FOR BEING A CALM ZONE, IT IS ONE OF THE MOST AGREEABLE NEIGHBORHOODS OF GOOD AIRS. SAILING IN INTERNET I MET A PHOTO OF HIS PRECIOUS/BEAUTIFUL ONE AND DREAMED VILLAGE ( CASTLE COMBE ), AND REALLY FROM THIS MOMENT I DO NOT STOP THINKING AND IMAGINING IN THE WONDERFUL THING THAT IT WOULD BE FOR MY TO KNOW HIS VILLAGE AND TO SPREAD HERE IN "ARGENTINE"   THE CHARMING THING THAT IS HIS VILLAGE AND "TO TRAVEL TO ONE OF THE PRETTIEST VILLAGES FROM THE WORLD ( CASTLE COMBE )", INDEED IT WOULD BE FOR MY TO MAKE CONCRETE A DREAM. THE SIMPLE FACT GIVES TO CONTACT MYSELF WITH YOU, MY MADE DREAM ALLOWS ME TO FEEL MORE CLOSELY REALITY, AND FOR MORE THAT FOR THE PRESENT TIME IT IS A FANTASY, I SUPPORT MY FAITH. PARDON IF THE TEXT NOT THIS ONE TRANSLATED CORRECTLY, SINCE IT WAS TRANSLATED BY A WEB PAGE. FROM ALREADY THANK YOU. CORDIAL REGARDS. PAULO

Of all the places I've ever been, the place I miss the most is Castle Combe. Outstanding and lovingly pleasant -- the place and the people.

I tried my hand at making lardy cake last week. It tasted wonderful, but I think I missed something in the conversion from grams and milileters to cups and ounces. It was very tough. I'll try again when I have studied the recipe better, but it really was very tasty.

Hello!
My name is Montse and I fall in love with your village.
I am from Spain but I had the chance of visiting that lovely village two years ago.
I spent several days in Bath and I went out and about. I did an organized Day tour around the countryside and fortunately it included Catle Combe.
I used to dream of places like this so I thought they existed only in dreams. My dream now is to come back someday and enjoy its beauty and its peace. I hope it will come true.
Take care of this paradise. Enjoy it for me.

My first visit was 30 years ago and I visited again about 20 years ago. Both times, it was like stepping into a separate little intact world. It was my third visit on the 27 May and even though it was pouring with rain, it was such a pleasure to see all the cottages and winding streets, the surrounding lush green of woods and fields again. The little By Brook bubbled away merrily in the rain. It felt so good breathing in the beauty of Castle Combe - a tonic for a city person. best regards Lucy Tan Zurich, Switzerland

My wife and me spent many a lovely day in and around Castle Coombe. It's been over ten years since we lived in England and many a day I reminisce about the wonderful times we had in your fair country. We hope to visit soon and with that said, I can assure you Castle Coombe will definitely be one of our destinations. Of course visiting is one thing but living in England is quiet another. Perhaps one day we will have the opportunity to live in England again.

Jay Weick

I visited Castle Combe a few years ago and have not forgotten how lovely and quiet the village was. This autumn I plan to return and bring my best friend from school days to see this pretty place. We are celebrating our 50th birthdays and 35 years of being best friends. Coming to Castle Combe will add to the memories of our trip to the UK from the States.

My husband and I have visited Castle-Combe on three or four visits to the U K and each time we marvel at the beauty of this delightful village. We loved to spend time there and just soak up the amazing scenery and this is our favourite village in the whole world. We have recommended it to so many friends who visit England and they always thank us for this referral. We always leave it with regret and look forward to returning. An unforgettable corner of our beloved England. Doug and Angie Quick. Toronto.

I was intrigued in Castle Combe as I own a painting of the village by an artist called Edward Wesson. So I thought I would see what I could find out about the village.

I have looked through your website and thank you for putting it together. It has been a lovely experience looking at your beautiful village in all aspects. I have never visited but have always intended to at some point. After looking at the web page I hope it will be a sooner visit rather than a later one!

Thank you. Andrea Williams, Cheshire

I saw the movie The Wedding Date two weeks ago and I fell in love with the town. It took me a while to find out where it takes place but the more I read about the place the more I like it. I hope I will be able to visit one day, keep it up, it is beautiful.

We spent a day here whilst on holiday from Lincs; Castle Coombe is absolutely gorgeous whatever the time of year. Whether taking a walk in any direction or standing by the Market Cross, it is idyllic.

Dear villagers of Castle Coombe,

You are truly privileged to live here ...

I lived in England for ten years in the late seventies and eighties. It gave me the opportunity to see many many lovely places in your beautiful country, but Castle Coombe remains branded in my memory as the prettiest village I indeed ever visited !

With kind regards.

I enjoyed your website and hope one day to visit.

When I served in the RAF at Rudloe Manor I and some of my colleagues were frequent visitors to the White Hart Inn. Time has moved on since then but I will always remember the village. Alan Marshall

I found your webb site ,you should be very proud of your village, in todays world it seems people want to pull down the old places from long ago, they have no pride in their heritage, your village makes me homesick for England, I came from England many years ago to Canada, here we do not seem to care to much about the past, they pull most of the old buildings down all in the name of progress. Keep up the good work, visitors should be very proud of the local people who look after the prettiest village of Castle Combe. All the best. Brian Hull, Ontario, Canada.

I was enchanted by the story of your village and the pictures made it come alive. Several years ago, my British hosts took me for a tour through the Cotswolds and we saw so many charming places. We stayed in Nailsworth in the Egypt Hotel and spent long days exploring. Now I wish we could repeat the trip and NOT miss Castle-combe. Thanks for a real treat. Having stayed in Bath for a long weekend we were seeking the ideal place to visit where we could stretch our legs and enjoy the surroundings. Our expectations were more than matched by what can only be described as a living oil painting. We walked around the grounds of the Manor House taking in the scenery alongside the river. We walked the length of the village more than one to enjoy the history and different views from which to take in the village. I almost bought a water colour to remember the day but got cold feet at the last minute..............I'll be back for that later!
We have visited many villages over the years but would agree that Castle Coombe is a gem.
Many Thanks
Andy

Approximately 30 years ago, I was on an airliner from Toronto to London I was eventually having to Australia.  I was about 25 years old and I met a young man about 23 years old on the flight ,he had a large cast on his leg where has been broken in the explained to me that he been touring Australia and is in some type of automobile accident and is leg was broken.he was returning home to Castle Combe.

We became friends in the flight, he then asked me to come see his village and stay with his family for a few days.  He told me a beautiful village was.  I really didn't want to impose on his family, but he said he would be glad if I did stay..it was an absolutely beautiful village and never forget it to never forget his hospitality and hospitality of his family.  I've traveled to many places for the years and your village is what my fondest memories.  I have never been able to find it on the map again until today utilizing a search engine on the Internet.  I was so pleased to see the pictures as they were in my mind 30 years ago.  With somebody your village is wondering what happened to the yank, it stayed with his family and beautiful village I would love to thank them again I lost track of their names..I'm sure he will remember is broken leg while touring Canada.  Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality.  Paul Tufo

I visited Castle Combe some years ago while staying with friends in Midford. Enjoyed the village very much and took many photos. As a committed Anglophile from MelbourneAustralia I found your site while surfing for English sites. I have visited Wiltshire and Somerset many times and stayed with friends in the area. Now that I'm semi-retired, I'm putting my fondness for English village life to good use, I hope, in a series of cozy murder mysteries that I've had published. Hope to visit Castle Combe again one day.

Best wishes to all

I find that I am a descentant of Reginald Robert Dedunstanville from 1054 down through the Kings of Scotland and to the Warners and Washingtons. The same line as George Washington, Our first president of the United States, which is where I live in California. I hunted down Castle Combe from there. I am really enjoying looking at the beautiful scenery and buildings of your town. Thank You
