I am a philosopher specializing in the philosophy of science and the philosophy of physics. Currently I work as a teaching fellow and a postdoctoral research assistant at the University of Edinburgh, the latter position part of Michela Massimi's ERC-funded project "Perspectival Realism: Science, Knowledge, and Truth from a Human Vantage Point". My research concerns the conceptual and physical foundations of cosmology in particular, but also of general relativity, statistical physics, classical mechanics, and quantum theory. Some of my work also touches on the metaphysics and epistemology of science more generally, especially the nature of probability and scientific explanation.

This January I will visit Cambridge to talk about exploratory modeling in cosmology (dark energy) and high energy physics (beyond standard model physics) at the HPS departmental seminarDuring the second semester at Edinburgh I will again be teaching an online MSc course on the Philosophy of Science and organizing our visiting speaker series Contemporary Debates in Philosophy of Science.
