Ms. Michelle Annett

Ms. Annett was born in New York but spent much of elementary school traveling across the country, visiting almost every state.  After high school in Lake Tahoe, she went to UC San Diego, earning a degree in Literature/Writing.  One of the highlights of college was spending a year studying in France.

Ms. Annett did her student teaching at Wy'east Middle School and stayed on for another 15 years, teaching Language Arts and Social Studies in both 7th and 8th grades, along with first year French back when 9th grade was still in the junior high.

Ready for a new challenge, Ms. Annett started pursing a library media endorsement from Central Washington University in the summer of 2012 and is thrilled to be spending her second year as a librarian at Cascade Middle School.

When she is not reading, Ms. Annett likes to play tennis competitively and garden.  She and her husband Travis have turned their small back yarden into a working urban farm with 8 fruit trees, 12 raised beds, 1 green house, and two chicken coops.  Affectionately known as the chicken whisperer, Ms. Annett's loves  to watch the chickens rototill her garden beds while they look for worms.

Ms. Linda Statt
Ms. Statt grew up in Rochester, NY in an active family that loved travel, camping and skiing. She graduated from high school in1989 where she meet her future husband Jeff.  She went on to earn her college degree in Floriculture in 1992 from Alfred State College.  Later that year, she and Jeff were married.

Ms. Statt worked for a number of years as a florist, specializing in wedding planning and corporate accounts. Not long after having their first child in 1996, Linda and Jeff moved to Houston, TX where they went on to have two more boys.  While in Texas, Linda was able to stay home with the boys.  With a passion for the outdoors, which was shared by her husband, and her three boys . They decided Texas was not the place for them.  This led to a year-long search to find a place to live closer to the mountains and the ocean.  Finally in 2003 she and the family moved to Vancouver WA and they’ve been taking the boys A.J, Jason and Ryan and their dog Dodger, hiking and camping ever since.

Linda is an avid runner, participating in different events throughout the year and has completed a few half-marathons. She is a three-time participant in the Hood-to-Coast a 200-mile relay.

Ms. Statt started back to work in 2013 working as a Substitute in the Evergreen school district, which lead her to a full time position  in January 2015 as the Media Assistant at Cascade.

When she's not outdoors hanging with her kids or outside working in her yard, you'll find her roaming around Powell's or sitting on the couch with a good book, her dog in her lap, and a hot cup of coffee.
