Cary Lee Peterson (born April 6, 1980) is an American businessman, lobbyist, political activist, and philanthropist who is the founder, chairman, and president for Environmental Control of Carbon Dioxide Corporation [also known as ECCO2 Corp], a US-based non-profit organization that is an admitted non-governmental organization (NGO) partner to United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, United Nations Global Compact, and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)..

September 8, 2010 the Associated Press published a news article ‘Haiti Prime Minister and ECCO2 Corp Enter Talks for $1.5 Billion Cleantech Project to Reduce Carbon Emissions and Stimulate Economy’. In the article Peterson comments, “The ECCO2 Haiti Project opens up vast employment opportunities and potential economic growth as Haiti continues to restore its infrastructure. While many have turned a blind eye towards them since the disaster, we are honored to be an active part of rebuilding the new Haiti.

Peterson has participated as an observer delegate in conferences, events, and delegations for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) since 2010 and is a member at United Nations Development Group of the World We Want 2015 Thematic and National Consultant Discussions and United Nations Team Works on causes for humanity, economy, and environment since 2012.

In May 2012 Peterson was elected Chief Executive Officer and Chairman for RVPlus, Inc., a publicly listed, development stage corporation in the United States of America. As the chief in-command for RVPlus, Inc., the company entered foreign government contracts in Africa and the West Indies totaling a value of $1.9 billion for climate change, social affairs, and energy efficiency with the support of its affiliated organizations, ECCO2 Corp and Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Studies. These contracts were filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as material definitive agreements for RVPlus, Inc..

In June 2012 Peterson interviewed with national radio on-air personality Doug Stephan on the Good Day Morning Radio Show, where he discussed ECCO2, climate change, and job creation for Americans. In summer 2012 Peterson launched Green Jobs for Veterans, a national marketing campaign to allure US military veterans seeking job opportunities during a time in America with a high unemployment rate for military veterans.

In 2013 served as as the Main Representative to the United Nations HQ, New York at Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Study, an organization in Special ECOSOC Status, in addition to being appointed the title of the Main Representative to the United Nations Office at Vienna, at Concile Mondial de Congres Diplomatiques des Aumoniers pour la Paix Universelle des Droits Humains et Juridiques (CMOCDAPUNDHJ), an organization in Special Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council in October 2013.

In January 2014 Peterson was appointed as an Ambassador of Diplomatic Mission Peace and Prosperity (Europe) for his participation and works as a missionary of peace and active support with civil society groups and diplomatic missions on humanity and peace in Eastern Europe and at the United Nations.

Cary Lee Peterson is a principal, member, and stakeholder to multiple civil society groups, diplomatic missions, inter-governmental partnerships, and political delegations in diplomatic missions, civil society groups, intergovernmental partnerships, and political delegations in West Africa, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, and Micronesia that are affiliated with the United Nations, European Commission (EU), and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

February 2014 Cary Lee Peterson makes a public statement at the United Nations PrepCom Meeting for Small Island Developing States that his intergovernmental association, ECCO2 Global Partners will focus on new and expansion development for Millennium Development Goals in the regions of Micronesia and the West Indies.

On April 15, 2014 Peterson is appointed as an Ambassador-at-Large to Diplomatic Mission for Eastern Europe and was awarded an honorary doctorate degree for Intergovernmental Relations and International Diplomacy by the Academy of Universal Global Peace and the Diplomatic Mission Peace and Prosperity.

In June 2014 Peterson committed to devote his focus on a future career in American politics with plans to run for federal office in United States and launched United Nations War on Human Trafficking Association (also known as "WOHT"), which was admitted to United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (iCSO) and accredited by European Parliament. WOHT is currently holding awareness summits and forums on human trafficking and sexual violence around the world.

As of August 19, 2014 Peterson was vetted and approved for candidacy for the Independent American Party for Washington Delegate, non-voting seat at the U.S House of Representatives. Peterson was also elected as chief coordinator and chairman of Independent America Party of U.S. Territories, which include all political party affairs for federal elections in Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, and U.S Virgin Islands.

In November 2014 Peterson resigned from Independent American Party as regional chairman and began serving as a co-managing partner for Robert Peterson Fields Associates, PLLC and newly appointed Chairman of Independent National Committee and executive director for Independent Congressional Coalition.

January 2015 a public announcement via media publication stated that Peterson would be working in partnership with Congressional Task Force on Human Trafficking

As of February 2015 Peterson has been active in Capitol Hill and was appointed a leader of U.S. congressional committees and coalitions on Cuban affairs, Eurasian affairs, law enforcement, and human trafficking in pursuit to delegate and lobby major political issues at U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

February 13, 2015 Peterson's involvement as chief director for Ready for Bernie Sanders 2016 is mentioned in Vermont Business Magazine and he comments on committee campaign plans in an article by Bloomberg Politics on March 26, 2015, Bernie Sanders Hates Campaign Cash, the Very Thing He'll Need to Beat Hillary Clinton.

April 4, 2015 Peterson and his works in political and diplomatic affairs are mentioned in international news coverage, including a video news clip from Balkan news reporters and a cover-story, feature article in Shekulli about a bilateral trading partnership between United States and Albania for agricultural goods, which originated from a intergovernmental cooperation established in 2013.

In May 2015 Peterson became a special interest in the media as the chief director of Americans Socially United (formerly Ready for Bernie Sanders 2016), a political action committee at United States Federal Election Commission favoring the political policy and likeness of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders for the 2016 presidential election.

On July 3, 2015 Peterson visited Territories of the U.S. in the South Pacific to finalize delegations to legalize cannabis for medicinal purposes in the Micronesian Islands and launch the first medical marijuana program in the Asia Pacific region.

Peterson continues his delegations with Albanian government officials in August 2015 that resulted in plans for new tourism programs to enhance the Balkans' economy, in addition to establishing a partnership with Territories of the U.S. in the South Pacific.

Peterson studied at National American University and Minneapolis Community and Technical College. He has served as an account executive for McClatchy Publishing (formerly Cowles Media), was an account manager for Conseco Finance and Cinedigm (formerly Unique Screen Media), in addition to over 14 years experience as a financial adviser and planner for financial services, business development, international trading, and capital markets industries.
