*.data    Data array
Text file, like seg-File, relevant e.g. in segmentation process


*.els    Electrodes Setup
Text file, similar to *.xyz, but more advanced (?)


*.ep    Evoked Potentials
Text file, includes ERPs but no header and trigger information


*.eph    Evoked Potentials with Header
Text file, includes ERPs but no header and trigger information


*.freq    Frequencies
Binary file, includes the 3-dimensional data set from the frequency analysis (Electrode x Frequency info x Time)


*.is    Inverse Solution
Binary file, includes number of electrodes and solution points


*.lm    Link Many file
Links files like *.eph with *.xyz for the creation of maps


*.mrk    Marker file
For the insertion and renaming of triggers which were not present during the EEG-recording (e.g. for recoding of triggers or insertion of triggers from *.wav-files)


*.mtg    Montage file
For certain and selective electrode viewing configurations (e.g. only midline electrodes)


*.ris    Results of Inverse Solution computation
Binary file, includes the results of the solution matrix multiplied by the EEG values


*.sef    Simple EEG Format
Binary file including EEG or ERP data in a very simple format (just time point + corresponding voltage)


*.seg    Segmentation
Text file including the topographic pattern analysis
one text line corresponds to one time frame
stores info on GFP, GEV, number of  clusters found, Dissimilarity


*.spi    Solution Points Irregularly spaced
text file with 3D-coordinates (x, y and z-dimension) with possible solution points necessary to obtain the sources or generators of ERPs

neighboured points do not have to be equally spaced; e.g. for electrode configurations following the 10-20 system


*.spr    Solution Points on Regular grid (obsolete)
text file with 3D-coordinates (x, y and z-dimension) with possible solution points necessary to obtain the sources or generators of ERPs
neighboured points must be equally spaced, thus have identical distances to each other; e.g. for electrode configurations following the 10-10 system


*.tva    Trigger Validation file
includes trigger codings depending on correct/incorrect/missing responses of the subject on the button-press box


*.vrb    Verbose file
text file or protocol file
stores info on all operations and parameters that were applied to an EEG-data set (e.g. kind of filtering, number of artefact-free trial per trigger and condition)


*.xyz    Electrodes coordinates for head (obsolete)
text file, includes a list of all electrodes with their scalp coordinates


*.bdf

Biosemi data format including the raw EEG data recorded from the amplifiers in our lab (and the triggers)


*.fld

brain volumes for visualization of the inverse solutions


*.spi

matrix for solution points
text file relevant for the inverse solution points in the brain volume
