 Carraig na bhFear Athletic Club would like to wish all our members, athletes and their parents a very happy Christmas and a great new year.  Training will recommence on Tuesday 11th of January at 7.45pm.  New members are always welcome, just turn up on the night or contact us in advance.  A new folder has been added to our Photo gallery containing pictures taken between April 2009 and June 2010.  See you all in the new year.

05th December, 2010.
Due to the bad weather we have had to cancel training for next Tuesday.  Our bowling night will go ahead as planned next Thursday.  Training will recommence on Tuesday 11th of January at 7.45pm, see you all at the bowling.

03rd December, 2010.
Just a reminder to all athletes and parents that next Tuesday 7th December is our last training night before Christmas.  We will finish up for the year on thursday night (9th Dec) after our bowling night in the Planet.  Our annual Christmas dinner takes place in the Ambassador hotel on Friday December 10th.

01st December, 2010.
Training is canceled for this thursday night.  Training will resume next Tuesday.

30th of November, 2010.
The National juvenile even age Cross Country Championships were held in Derry on Sunday 28th last.  We had a small group of athletes competing on the day.  All our athletes competed well in very tough weather conditions, congratulations to them all.  Some pictures from the day are up on our photos page.  Just a reminder that next week is our last week of training before we break for Christmas.

21st of November, 2010.  Munster juvenile 'B' Cross Country Championships.
Some of our juvenile athletes were in action today at the Munster juvenile 'B' championships held in Dungarvan.  There was a great turnout today on what was a very good cross country course.  It was a successful day for our small group of athletes, coming 2nd in the Girls U11 team and also some individual medal winners.  Some pictures from today can be seen on our photos page.  The next event is the All Ireland even age cross country championships being held in Derry next Sunday November 28th. 

14th of November, 2010.  County juvenile 'B' Cross Country Championships.
Today saw the final day of the County juvenile cross country season,  Once again the weather was great.  We had a very good day again today with 3 teams winning medals and also some individual medal winners.  Well done to all these athletes in what was their last race of the season.  Training continues as normal this week for all athletes.  Pictures from today can be seen on our photos page.  The next event is the Munster juvenile 'B' Cross Country Championships which are taking place in Dungarvan next Sunday November 21st.
07th of November, 2010. Munster juvenile uneven age Cross Country Championships.
The Munster uneven age championships took place today in Charleville.  Once again the sun shone on a well laid out and fairly flat course.  Carraig na bhFear were well represented from U9 up to U17.  Some of our older athletes ran up an age today as part of their preparation for the National even age championships being held in Derry soon.  For our U9 athletes it was a first taste of Munster cross country competition, so well done to them all.  It was a very successful day for the club with several athletes winning individual and team medals, and also featuring on successful Cork teams.  Pictures from today can be seen on our photos page.  The next event is the County 'B' championships being held in Carraig na bhFear next Sunday November 14th.
24th of October, 2010.  East Cork uneven age Cross Country Championships.
The final day of the East Cork Cross Country Championships took place today in a very sunny Carraig na bhFear.  A great days competition was had, with Carraig athletes winning individual and team medals.  Well done to all the athletes that competed today, pictures from today can be seen on our photos page.  There is no competition on next weekend so athletes and parents will get a well deserved break!  The next event for our juvenile athletes is the Munster uneven age championships taking place in Charleville on Sunday 07th of November.  Training will take place as normal this week. 

17th of October, 2010.  Munster Even Age Cross Country Championships. 
Today saw great perfomances from all the even age athletes in the Club.  There was very a very high standard of athletics and stamina among competitors, on a challenging and well laid-out course.  We were delighted to win a number of medals today, given the tough competition.  Hard work has paid off for these athletes and we wish them success in their now, upcoming, National Championships which will take place in Derry.  The next event for our Club Diary is the East Cork Uneven Age Races, which will be held in Carraig na bhFear, next Sunday, 24th of October.  Many thanks to all parents who travelled to Carraigadroihid today, and for their continued support and encouragement of our athletes.  Check out some pictures on our photos page, and see if you can spot yourself in the stampede!
10 October 2010 - County U23, Novice, Masters & Juvenile uneven age cross country
The County championships continued today in Carrignavar.  There was a great turnout in all the races from masters right down to U9.  Carraig na bhFear AC had a very successful day today with athletes winning individual medals and two teams coming home in the medals.  Well done to all the athletes that took part, some pictures from today are posted on our photos page.  The next event is the Munster even age championships being held in Carraigadrohid next Sunday 17th October.

03 October 2010 - County Juvenile even age cross country
The first day of the county juvenile cross country championships took place in Conna today.  Well done to all the Carraig na bhFear AC athletes that took part. Check out the photos page for some pictures from today.  The next event will be the County uneven age championships hosted by ourselves next sunday 10th October.

 19 Sep 2010 - East Cork cross country championships, day 1
The Cross Country season kicked off in Youghal today.  Carraig na bhFear AC athletes got their season off to a flyer winning hard earned individual and team medals in all the races they took part in, well done to all the athletes concerned. See Photos page for more pictures from today.
