Kuwait National Museum - Kuwait

The Kuwait National Museum is strategically located in Kuwait City on the Arabian Gulf Street. The museum was inaugurated in the year 1983 and the planetarium of this museum was opened in the year 1986. The museum was once a treasure trove for the history buffs keen to known about the reigns of the early Muslim kings. It housed wide-ranging collection of Islamic art, archaeological artifacts, ethnographical data from the mine of Failaka Island in Kuwait. The museum also possessed administrative wings, auditorium and offices. After the Iraqi invasion in Kuwait, this museum was entirely destroyed. Presently the museum is undergoing extensive renovatin work and some exhibitions are again being opened to the public.

Tareq Rajab Museum - Kuwait

Tareq Rajab Museum in Kuwait is one of the most attractive Museums in Kuwait. The museum is divided into two areas. In Area A you can see the calligraphy, glass, metalwork, manuscripts, ceramics, jade and wood carvings. On the other area, that is Area B; you will see textiles, costumes, musical instruments and jewelry. You will find a reference library also in this museum. If you want to learn about the culture and tradition of the Islamic world, then the reference library of the museum can be beneficial to you.

Carved in squat and tapering cylindrical forms with domed tops, painted in gilt with flowersprigs enclosed by borders of interlacing flowers, the undersides painted green and red. One part is painted red, the other green.
