Cherry Dark Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Prep Time: 10 minutes. Cook time: 25 minutes. Total time: 35 minutes.

*Yields: 9 x 13 pan, about 18 squares


2 sticks butter, softened

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon almond extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup dark chocolate chips

1 cup cherry chips


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9 x 13 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.

2. In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar and brown sugar on medium speed about 1-2 minutes. Add in eggs, vanilla extract and almond extract, mixing until well combined.

3. Slowly add in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until just combined and flour is  no longer visible. Fold in cherry chips and chocolate chips.

4. Pour and press dough into prepared baking pan. Bake 22-25 minutes until golden brown and baked through.

5. Let cool completely and cut into squares.


*Feel free to half the entire recipe for an 8x8 or 9x9 pan.
