Welcome to Carnegie Mellon Rugby!

The Carnegie Mellon University Rugby Football Club (CMURFC) prides itself on dedication, teamwork, leadership and the development of mental and physical strength.
Re-established in 2004, Carnegie Mellon Rugby has grown from a small team of rugby-loving hooligans to one of the premier contenders in the Allegheny Rugby Union (ARU).

In the 2009 season, CMURFC was the champion of the ARU and went on to place 5th in the USA Rugby Division III Semi-Finals.
In 2010, CMURFC made the jump to the Division II level, facing Division I football schools like West Virginia University and the University of Pittsburgh. Competition was tough, but CMURFC fared well, placing in the middle of the bracket behind the University of Pittsburgh. During the spring, CMURFC participated in several matches and tournaments and reconnected with alumni in a Carnival Alumni Rugby Game.

This year, the Allegheny Rugby Union disbanded Division II and CMURFC moved back to Division III where they hope to once again go to nationals.
