Leger Holidays Battlefield Tours Carl worked as a specialist battlefield guide for Leger Holidays for 20 years between 1998 and 2019. During that time Carl conducted some of the first Second World War battlefield tours, to Normandy, for the company. He also helped develop the first tours for them to the Italian battlefields, Arnhem and the area where the Battle of the Bulge took place. Below are a few images from the tours he conducted during this period. 2018 Leger Battlefields Tour group, 7th April 2018 Right of centre is 92 year old former Able Seaman Stanley Rickeard of Landing Ship Tank (LST) 199 that transport men, material and suplies onto JUNO Beach in June, July and August 1944. 2017 Leger Battlefields Tour group, 7th April 2017 Right of centre is 92 year old former Petty Officer Al Nutbein of SS Empire Broadsword that transport A and C Company of the 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment onto QUEEN, WHITE Sector of SWORD Beach in the early hours of D-Day 6th June 1944.
