Normandy Battlefield Tours
Carl has worked as a freelance adviser and battlefield guide in areas such as Normandy in France; Arnhem, Nijmegen and Oosterbeek in Holland; and Salerno, Anzio and Monte Cassino in Italy since 1997.
Since 2009, however, Carl's battlefield guiding commitments have been, and continue to be, concentrated on the Normandy battlefields as a result of his publishing and research commissions that are presently focused on this particular battlefield.
NEW for 2017, Carl is escorting a battlefield tour for Deirdre Brown Travel to Normandy departing on Thursday 20th July 2017. This 5 day tour, staying in the 4-star Novotel hotel in Bayeux, covers the D-Day airborne and seaborne landings that formed the start of Operation OVERLORD on 6th June 1944.
Carl is also one of the longest serving guides with the UK 's leading Battlefield Tour Operator Leger Holidays. He is presently one of their specialist guides on the D-Day Landings in Normandy battlefield tour.
