Normandy Battlefield Tours
Carl has worked as a freelance adviser and battlefield guide in areas such as Normandy in France; Arnhem, Nijmegen and Oosterbeek in Holland; and Salerno, Anzio and Monte Cassino in Italy since 1997.
Since 2009, however, Carl's battlefield guiding commitments have been, and continue to be, concentrated on the Normandy battlefields as a result of his publishing and research commissions that are presently focused on this particular battlefield.
Carl is also one of the longest serving guides with the UK 's leading Battlefield Tour Operator Leger Holidays. He is presently one of their specialist guides on the D-Day Landings in Normandy battlefield tour.

Right of centre is 92 year old former Petty Officer Al Nutbein of SS Empire Broadsword
that transport A and C Company of the 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment onto QUEEN, WHITE Sector of SWORD BEACH
in the early hours of D-Day 6th June 1944.
