Battlefield Guide Normandy Battlefield Tours Carl has worked as a freelance adviser and battlefield guide in areas such as Normandy in France; Arnhem, Nijmegen and Oosterbeek in Holland; and Salerno, Anzio and Monte Cassino in Italy since 1998. Since 2009, however, Carl's battlefield guiding commitments have been, and continue to be, concentrated on the Normandy battlefields as a result of his publishing and research commissions that are presently focused on this particular battlefield. If any groups or individuals would like to use Carl's battlefield guiding services please consult this page here for details. 2018 Tours   Battlefields Tour group, 7th April 2018 Right of centre is 92 year old former Able Seaman Stanley Rickeard of Landing Ship Tank (LST) 199 that transport men, material and supllies onto JUNO Beach in June, July and August 1944. 2017 Tours   Battlefields Tour group, 7th April 2017 Right of centre is 92 year old former Petty Officer Al Nutbein of SS Empire Broadsword that transport A and C Company of the 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment onto QUEEN, WHITE Sector of SWORD BEACH in the early hours of D-Day 6th June 1944. 2016 Tours  Battlefield Tours group, 27th March 2016. Right of centre, 91 year old, Normandy Veteran, Mr (Trooper) Frank Worrall. Served with 'A' Squadron, 3rd Reconnaissance Regiment, Reconnaissance Corps, Royal Armoured Corps. 2015 Tours  Battlefield Tours group, 4th October 2015. Centre is 93 year old, Sicily and Italian Campaign Veteran, Mr Donald Roberts. Served with No.2 Field Force Headquarters and 255 (Nightfighter) Squadron, Royal Air Force.  Battlefield Tours group, 18th July 2015. To the right of the 6th Airborne Division Memorial Cross is 93 year old 12 Parachute Battalion Veteran Sergeant Frank Swann. |
