My passion for teaching Physical Education and coaching Soccer comes from having been brought up in a loving, nurturing family in Açores , Portugal, where the simplicity of soccer was a family value. I inherited my father's love for Clube Desportivo Santa Clara and Benfica. It has been a way of life that was ingrained in me from a very young age.

I started coaching youth soccer at a very young age, while still in high school, thanks to my brother Rui's influence. The brotherly connection continued further when we eventually jointly coached my brother Paulo. The enjoyment that coaching gave me led to my later pursuing an education in teaching Physical Education.

Now as a teacher and coach I seek to create positive experiences that hopefully result in multi-faceted learning that is lasting and applicable.

Currently my professional work consists of teaching Health and Physical Education at Bellingham High School and coach with the Revolution Academy. In addition I run my own Santa Clara Soccer School.

I aspire to find increasingly challenging and fulfilling opportunities to work in my area of expertise.
