The Carling Market is so proud to be able to help support our local community.
Since 2010, the Carling Market has raised over $20,000 in for our local charities!!
In 2010 the Market’s Thanksgiving Charity Event began from an idea and effort by a small group of like-minded Carling property owners. The basic premise of the Thanksgiving Market is to share the good things we have in Carling with our community and beyond. That first year we raised $775 for the London Centre of Health Sciences-Ovarian Cancer Research, as one of our dearest vendors had lost her battle to this disease. Since those humble beginnings the Thanksgiving Market has expanded its marketplace, annually served over 150 for a buffet breakfast and offer a silent auction. All these efforts by volunteers and support by donors has resulted in a total of nearly $30,000 raised for various local charities and groups! Funds have been provided to many projects here in Carling (Fire & Rescue boat/trailer, Raise the Roof, playground equipment), and others including the West Parry Sound Hospital, Parry Sound Youth, HarvestShare, Parry Sound Optimists, Parry Sound Adopt-A-Home and Parry Sound Salvation Army.
