9. Brugge - A city lost in time

I have spent the last 3 days in Brugge, Belgium which is truly a city lost in time.  The architecture is a mix of medieval and gothic with beautiful old bridges that cross over the canals.  This old town is tiny but completely filled to the brim with tourists.  Its a weird mix because some of the buildings are from the 9th century right next to a high fashion store on the next street. This place really isn't great for food but there is a tearoom every 50 feet you walk.  We went to see a beautiful old cathedral and an extremely old and peaceful convent that is still in use today.   Its been a nice relaxing place to be and we are ready to go off to Brussels tomorrow!
