I have spent three days in Brighton, England.  Brighton is an interesting city.  The best way to describe it would be Jersey shore boardwalk with English accents, with a 1800s Royal “Pleasure Palace” a few blocks away surrounded by botanical gardens.  As I said…and interesting place.  I enjoyed my self a lot there…when the sun decided to come out.  Turns out summer in England doesn’t actually involve the sun very much.  There was one day while I was here that I was so fed up with the wind and the rain and the cold that I didn’t leave the hostel the entire day.  But don’t worry I walked the board walk and enjoyed the botanical gardens the other days.  I got a lot of good photos of flowers, which you can see here.  One of the funny thing about Brighton was that it was filled with Germans.  It is the one place in England where I have met more then 1 German and I must have met like 9 Germans in Brighton.  Overall it is a nice place, just not exactly what I think of when I think beach.  When I think Beach, I think of a place where I can actually get in the water J I am off to London now!!  I can’t wait!
