So I finally made it to England!  Ironically just in time for the 4th of July!  I am in York, England and seriously if you want a history lesson come to York.  Unfortunately im only staying here for two nights but at this point I'm on a somewhat tight schedule if I want to see everything I planned on in England.  I am staying in a really neat hostel that is actually a boutique hostel called The Fort.  Its like having your own apartment with a kitchen and living room with a couch and TV and then the bedroom just has 6 beds in it instead of one!  So its a really great place to relax and chill out.  The first thing I did when I got hear was walk the entire way around the fortified walls of the old city!  York has the most standing fortified walls of any city in Britain and they are AWESOME! (I might be a tad obsessed with fortified walls).  It took me about 2 hours and I got some amazing pictures.  You can see them in the Photo Gallery.  The second day I walked to see the Cathedral and the botanic gardens.  I then took a guided walking tour to see the Sninkleways. (Which means little tiny streets through the buildings)  IT was really cool my guide knew basically everything about york history!  The best part of York is just the amount of history this city has.  It is pretty incredible.  Next I am off to Sheffield to see that city and the lands and house of Chatsworth House!
