About Us

Our mission

Our mission is to provide the essentials of life -- food and shelter -- to the children and families of Northeast Haiti.  We work closely with the local community to provide these services, employing local cooks, construction workers, and medical providers.

Our Team

Donald Jean Francois leads Care One Bit.  He was born in Haiti and moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a college education.  He has since returned to Haiti many times and now coordinates the feeding and house-building programs of Care One Bit.

Marie Macelus Noel directs the Centre de Protection aux Enfants in Terrier-Rouge, which provides a half-day of education for children ages 3 through 5.  These children all receive a half-day of education and a hot meal at the end of their school day.

Pastor Appolon Noel is the senior pastor and founder of the Baptist church in Terrier-Rouge  (Eglise Baptiste de Terrier-Rouge).  Pastor Noel has been ministering in the region for over 50 years and has built seven different school and churches in the Terrier-Rouge area. His love and commitment to his community has been a great inspiration to us.
