Ingredients: *Note. The amount of ingredients will vary depending upon how many "pockets" you want to make. I have listed the ingredients for making 4 pockets from 1 package of Crescent rolls. You can double or adjust to your needs* --1lb. ground beef, browned, seasoned to preference and drained. --mashed potatoes. Quantity will vary depending on how many pockets you want to make. Leftover potatoes work great -- 1 package of crescent rolls. --grated cheese of choice (optional... I did not use it.) Directions: --Preheat oven to 375 --Brown, season and drain your ground beef --prepare (or reheat your leftover) mashed potatoes --unroll the crescent rolls into 4 rectangles --add a scoop of beef to one side of a CR rectangle and then top with a scoop of mashed potatoes. --Don't over fill the pocket! --bring the other side of the CR rectangle over the top of the filling and pinch all the edges to seal them. --I brushed a bit of egg white wash on top of and around the edges of each pocket as a sort of glaze and added seal to help keep all the filling inside. --Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on top. Let sit for 2-3 minutes before serving. |
