1364 Doctor of divinity

By 1364 the long years of study had borne fruit and both Adam Easton and Thomas Brinton were ready to “incept” as Doctors of Divinity. Such a momentous achievement was worthy of celebration and the monastery at Norwich provided handsomely for the young men to indulge themselves and their fellow students. To give some context a whole sheep might cost 1 shilling and a goose just 4 pence!
