Roberto Capistrano-Filho
Short bio
Roberto completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil, 2014) and the University of Lorraine (France, 2014). He held two researcher positions at the University of Cincinnati (USA) and Virginia Tech (USA). Currently, I am an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Federal University of Pernambuco.
Prof. Roberto works in the analysis of Partial Differential Equations, with emphasis on control theory, precisely working on the well-posedness of initial boundary value problems, controllability, and stabilization problems of systems that model physical phenomena in fluids. His research agenda has been developed in close collaboration with researchers from Brazil and abroad.
As regards financial support, Prof. Roberto has been funded by The National Council for Research and Technology (CNPq-Brazil), Pernambuco Research Foundation (FACEPE), Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) and Propeqi (UFPE).
