Antonio Da Veiga Rocha

Antonio is Founder and Director of CICER.  He is an Artist, Writer and Educator who has taught and exhibited widely in the United States and Europe.  He has written essays on art and social criticism and his current studio works explore the deep sea with concepts of immigration, remembrance and loss.  He has been invited as a visiting artist to cultural and academic institutions and has lectured on writing, art and black history and the sea.  He is currently teaching and living in Catalonia, Spain.

Gisela Creus Casanovas


Gisela Creus is the Director of CICER Community.  She is a dancer, choreographer and teacher who has most recently co-founded NunArt - http://www.nunartbcn.com/ an arts collective in Barcelona, Spain.  She has danced for Moreno Ensemble, Kornes Kompany, ARTERIA, Roti Productions and others.  She is currently involved in dance/choreography works in Spain, London and Berlin.

Adam Elias


Adam is predominantly an Artist and Writer working in London.  He has written essays and stories concerning Visual Culture and makes paintings that investigate anonymity, mimesis and custom.  Currently working as an educator in London.  He has also lectured, taught across various ages and is a qualified volleyball coach.  Adam is responsible for Residency Relations in the United Kingdom.

Anna Bonfill

Anna Bonfill is a registered nurse and has been working in the field since 2004. She is a surgery specialist and has volunteered her time and expertise in working with NGOs.  She has most recently worked with Saharans.  She has also been a children’s monitor.  Anna is a true believer that people learn through experiences, which is why she advocates community participation and is always willing to undertake new projects.  She lives and works in Catalonia, Spain

David Rocha

David Rocha lives and studies in Rhode Island, US.  He is the Technical Relations Member of CICER and our 'FaceBook Guy'.  He is also responsible for Residency Relations in the Unites States.  He is currently an art student, who is focusing on drawing and photography and the digital relationships they can have and create.

Miriam Syowia Kyambi

Syowia is primarily an installation artist whose artistic projects evolve around history and identity.  She is currently living and working in Nairobi, Kenya.  She has had recent exhibits in Kenya, Finland, Denmark and South Africa.  Syowia has been involved in art education for the past ten years, and is currently teaching art and design in a Secondary School.  Her current interests lie in the development of traditional craftsmanship for contemporary art education.  She is also an active member of 3Collect, an artist collective primarily involved in curatorial work.
