Welcome to our Radl-tour!
May 3rd 2004 - May 31st 2004
My former managing director and me, decided to do a Western tour...
Starting at L.A., we went by a rented car to Las Vegas...
An unavoidable city, if you like it or not...
But the 'entrance' to Canyonland.
Actually, we have started at Lake Isabella, climbing up the Walker Pass, heading for Death Valley, where we made a climb on the daylight Pass. Then... Las Vegas...
Las Vegas offered the opportunity to visit the Hoover Dam by bicycle...
We did the Big Circle including, Grand Canyon, Page (Lake Powel), Bryce Canyon, Zion Park.
...And Escalante (petrified forest souvenirs...)
Driving back to San Francisco via Hwy 50 (the loneliest road of America), we hit Lake Tahoe and the Yosemite Park.
At Lake Tahoe, we have been using this beautiful surrounding for a climb of some Alpine country passes, like Luther Pass and Kid Carsons Pass (nearly 3.000 m elevated).
And, we made a Lake Tahoe Lake roundtrip, hitting Squaw Valley (still in snow...).
At Yosemite a climb to the Upper Fall has been a must.
Reaching SF has been so sad, as we were booked on a flight leaving the next day...
SF would be worth to stay at least a week or more...!
We are 2 bicyclists, doing the Canyonland tour.
