Canterbury Coarse Fishing Club...

Is the largest and one of the countries fastest growing clubs in New Zealand. The club offers access to a number of waters to satisfy the needs of all coarse anglers’ from rivers to stillwaters both large and small... and all for the same very affordable yearly membership fee, amounting to little more than the cost of a quarter of a tank of fuel.

One of the clubs main veunes (Lake Roto) offers possibly the countries best Tench fishing with match weights averaging 50lb in the summer months with a current match record of 116lb 4oz! Pleasure anglers are delighted at full nets of catches, whilst the specimen hunters amongst our members have taken Tench around 6lb.

The venue has been going through a huge re-development process since 08'/09' seasons in conjunction with the Christchurch City Council and the local Fish & Game office. This has allowed the club to develop safe access to the waters edge including specialised wheelchair accessable platforms.

The club has 6 other offical F&G designated waters around the christchurch/ Canterbury region. These venues provide many styles of coarse fishing from speed whip fishing through to good quality waggler fishing
