There's nothing better than a day at the beach, but a full day of UV rays can take its toll. Enter this Leberna 8-foot beach shelter, which is ideal for long afternoons on the shore. Made of heavy-duty polyurethane-coated taffeta for increased UV protection and cool comfort, the cabana protects you on three sides, letting you choose exactly how much sun you want to enjoy. You can sit fully inside the cabana to avoid the sun, lie partially covered to protect just your face, or even huddle up for full-body protection when the winds start whipping.
Just as importantly, the cabana is a breeze to set up, with a three-pole pin-and-ring system with shock-corded fiberglass poles. Users just need to give the shelter's center pin-and-ring system a quick push and the shelter will be fully operational in a few short seconds. It's a sturdier and easier-to-fold system than most pop-up shelters, making it ideal for people who don't like to waste time. Built with upgraded, flame-retardant fabric with a UPF 50+ rating, the cabana measures 8 by 4.6 by 4.1 feet (W x H x D) at its widest point and folds to a 44-by-6-by-6-inch footprint. It also comes with a carrying bag for storage.

Quick Shade - - What a fine product!!
Quick Shade - - What a fine product!!
We set this thing up to protect us from sun and rain. Uh huh!! When setting it up the instructions said do not set up if a storm or rain are pending. Note: It did not mention this anywhere on the exterior of the box. We set it up and of course it started raining immediately thereafter. It started leaking about the same time. Then the fun started. The fabric stretched (never failed though) and huge wells of water formed in the roof. When I say huge, I mean humongous! Ten, fifteen, twenty gallons of water collected in those little wells. LOL I went around dumping the water wells for a while but when bed time came I told Mary, "It's gonna be ugly by morning." It was!!! The brand name? 'Quick Shade' and sorry folks I can't recommend the product. Hee! Hee! Underneath that mess is our three burner camp stove (Camp Chef & a wonderful product) and it wasn't damaged in the slightest!! Now the rain storm. It put down 1 1/8 inches of rain in less than 30 minutes and though it lessened it rained all night. Now that's rain. We tore this thing down and set up old reliable, our 'Easy Up canopy which has served us in good stead for 15 years. In spite of this failure the trip (7 days) was wonderful and it only rained this once during the day.

another stunning canopy. The weather was so quiet, hot and humid that it felt like we were underwater. Paradise in the middle of the suburbs in Claremont - I used to walk through these gardens on my way to school in the early 1980's. Not much has changed since then, they still have the bridges and the duck ponds. The trees are massive and everything has an overgrown, lush and healthy feel to it. We were on our way to Kalk Bay and couldn't help pulling over for a quick walk. Was a stunning morning too, hot, no wind and humid. Going to be coming back here a lot in the future. It's quite safe too - they've completely fenced in the whole garden and security guards are stationed at the entrance. This 4,5 hectare garden was started by Ralph Arderne in 1845, entry is free altho it's good to leave a donation.
