H.J. Andrews

The Canopy Connections field trip takes place at the H.J. Andrews experimental forest site.  Located in the Willamette National forest, H.J. Andrews is a beautiful, 62 year old long-term ecological research location with 16,000 acres spanning the Lookout Creek Watershed.  
It is a living laboratory that provides unparalleled opportunities for the study of forest and stream ecosystems. They are dedicated to the research of forest ecology and education of forest management issues. Since the 1950s, H.J. Andrews has been conducting long-term ecological research programs to better understand ecosystem processes and functions. For more information about ongoing research projects, click here.
