The 3-D Band Book is a three-dimensional approach to rehearsal preparation. This complete tune up/warm up program will reduce rehearsal stress and permit greater accomplishment with less effort. The overall preparedness that this book provides will make every rehearsal a more rewarding and enjoyable experience. The book is divided into three parts: tune up/warm up, key preparation, and rhythm preparation. In addition, there are three pages of harmony and ear training which will provide the basic knowledge necessary for relating to the exercises and chorales found in the book.
"Candy Clarinet", Merry Christmas from Pete Fountain
A couple years ago I brought in one of my turntables to the office to play a couple of random LPs that lay neglected in our storage closet. Suddenly everyone thought this was The Best Idea Ever and folks all brought in their Christmas albums. It is quite the tradition now. This album was part of the white elephant gift exchange our office does, which is funny because John, who ended up with the album, has a D.M.A. in clarinet! Pete Fountain is a very accomplished player and incredibly smooth in his approach. According to John, Pete used to have gold keys on his clarinet, and I would believe it! A pretty good album on the whole. Taken by CoryQ.
Where'd my Clarinet go!
I don't know if I should post this one. It's a statue of Bobby-Chelsea-Vanessa-Grecia-Bonnie-Jessica looking for his/her clarinet C; jk. The statue was in the Museum of Art in the National Mall. I've had days like this when i think I left my clarinet at home...I put my hand in my hair and look around frantically. 'Course I'm not made of marble, but still, I'm sure most clarinets, flutes, oboes, and any other musician who has a little-hard-to-find case has felt like this. I didn't plan to name it this. I liked the statue but the man was nude...So~ I only took a picture from the waist up.
