Strawberries and basil tiramisu

Ingredients (6 servings)

1  fresh cake  

400 grs, mascarpone cheese or philadelphia(room temperature)

2 cups of  cold heavy cream

1/2 cup of caster sugar

600 grs. strawberries

100 cc a sweet wine like marsala or jerez

1/2 cup  basil leaves chopped


Whip cream and add confectioners' sugar.

Mix the mascarpone or Philadelphia with the cream until it has a
homogeneous texture.

Keep refrigerated.

Cut the cake into medium or small pieces and place in  the glasses  or in a large bowl.

Brush the cake with marsala wine.

Spread some of the cream cheese mixture and whipped cream on the cake.

Cover with strawberries  on this and then sprinkle with  some chopped basil.

Place the second cake layer, brush again with the wine or Jerez 
 and spread the cream cheese .
Place again  pieces of strawberries over the cream.
Garnish with basil and bring to the fridge for at least two
to three hours until serve.
