Thanks to the kind support of the principal of Giralang Primary School, ACT Public schools have the opportunity to have a portable planetarium visit their school.
The sessions are presented by Giralang Primary School teacher Paul Floyd. The planetarium uses an all dome video projection system in place of the Starlab projector to allow for a greater choice of Australian Curriculum linked topics to be covered. A maximum of six classes can take part in planetarium sessions in one day.
There is no direct charge for the visit. Schools taking part will be required to reimburse the school for the cost of a relief teacher for the day of visit. Bookings are accepted at the discretion of the Giralang School principal.
See the 'Book the planetarium' page for presenter contact details.
