The Joanne de Groot Library Foundation has a significant amount of funding available to help develop library collections for school libraries that can demonstrate a need and prove that they need this funding.  School libraries who are applying for funding must demonstrate their need by writing a proposal that clearly and carefully outlines a plan for spending the money in a logical way.  The proposals also must provide a clear description of the library context, a justification for their funding request, and indicate how the library will actually spend the money.

This site consists of a mock grant proposal for EDES 546, a course in the University of Alberta's Master of Eduation in Teacher-Librarianship by Distance Learning (TLDL) program.
