Delchamps stores of the early to mid '90s featured video monitors over every aisle advertising products and other media. Some store locations had shopping carts attached with greyscale LCD displays that interacted somewhat with the over video monitors, while also providing recipe suggestions and in-store navigation.

Nashville, TN Cain-Sloan Department Store location
Cain-Sloan Company was a department store in Nashville that was founded in 1903. It was purchased by Allied Stores in 1955 and they contructed a new flagship in 1957. The chain was sold off to Dillards in 1987 in which they promptly closed the downtown flagship. The building was imploded in 1994 for a parking lot.
