Otter Lake Management Committee (OLMC)

The Scout Camp Otter Lake Management Committee manages the camp and is responsible to the National Properties Manager for the Heritage Area's Scout camp facility located in Otter Lake, QC.

This site provides a central point for the sharing and publishing of the Committees work. This site is managed by the Camp Manager.

Camp Otter Lake

  • Location - on Hughes Lake near the community of Otter Lake,PQ (120 km west-north-west of Aylmer)
  • Driving Time - 90 minutes from Aylmer
  • Terrain - ample lakefront with dock, hardwood forest and hilly steep banks to lake Safety Concerns - lake and forest fire
  • Phone - public phone at corner store (Hwy 301 / Picanoc) Cell phone reception in some areas.
  • Emergency Medical - Shawville Hospital (38 km) Wheelchair Access - very challenging roadway to cabin with steps Special Considerations - propane is not supplied for cook stove & propane lighting in cabin and woodshed. Bring what you need! Cost - The fee is $100.00 per weekend.
In addition to the supporting structure such as the kybos, beach, dock, etc., The camp has various Camp Sites through out the camp and Richardson's Cabin. 

Camp Rental
