The first step to becoming a soccer referee is certification with the USSF. There are two entry level courses for new referees to choose from: a grade 9 (recreational referee), which is a one day, eight hour class; or a grade 8 referee, which is a two day, 16 hour class. Upcoming courses are typically posted about a month before the classes are held. New Grade 8/9 classes are held in February/March (before the spring season) and July/August (before the fall season).
CCNSC is located in Kentucky District 1 and referee courses are typically held at Thomas More College 333 Thomas More Parkway, Crestview Hills, KY 41017 (south on Turkeyfoot Road exit off I-275). Note that beginning in the summer of 2011, KSRA started using the USSF Registration system to manage registration and payment for its course offerings and is still working out the kinks... so please be patient.
Online registration information: You will need to create a new user to sign up for the Entry Level courses. If you still have problems registering, please contact Tony Crush.
