Camino Turtle Travels
Welcome to the Camino Turtle Travels Website
In 2016 I walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain on my own. Many friends and family members worried about me traveling alone, but during that trip I carried a small stone on which I had written the words "Be Brave".
As I was leaving that stone at the foot of the cross at the Cruz de Ferro, I asked God to help me not let fear get in the way of me doing all the things I wanted to do with my life. After finishing that amazing trip I realized I wanted to travel and see more of the world than I could see in the limited few weeks of vacation I had each year.
When I went back to my job, I realized I was still letting my fears hold me back. No more....
I've decided to "Be Brave" and pursue my dream of traveling the world.
There's only one problem. I am too young and too poor to retire permanently.
So I researched how I could work, live and travel full time. This website chronicles my research on the one option I think will let me do this: full-time RV living.
When I first thought about living full time in an RV, I saw many challenges to worry me but I made a promise to myself that I would not let fear stop me; I would be brave.
As my family and friends know, I joked for years that when I retired I would buy an RV and travel.
Well, I just decided that it's time to stop joking about it and I actually did it!
On September 5, 2017 I retired from my "office job" to begin a new journey.
I invite you to tour my pages to see some of the things I am learning from others who have already taken the plunge into full-time RV living.
More information will be added to the site as I watch and learn from YouTube videos, books, and blogs. If you know of any great full-time RV living websites, feel free to email the links to me at caminoturtle2016 @ gmail.com
