I am a Ph.D. candidate in applied economics at the University of Minnesota.

My research experience lies in several areas of international development and policy analysis, like labor economics, education, food policy, and welfare.

I previously worked for The World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the department of Economics at the Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, Colombia), from where I obtained my bachelor and master's degrees in Economics.

My dissertation addresses the problematic of food insecurity in Latin America and the United States. The job market paper estimates the impact of a subsidized health care regime for the poor on household food insecurity in Colombia.

I will be attending the 2018 ASSA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia (PA).
