Cameron Highlands lies on the Main Range and is just along the edge of the State of Pahang. 

Ringlet , Tanah  Rata  ( main town )  and  Brinchang are the main towns where most of the population are  fruit & vegetable farmers.

Tanah Rata is about 4000 feet above sea level while Btinchang is higher at 5000 feet above sea level.

Generally travellers from Kuala Lumpur  make their way up  North to the Highlands  via the North South Highway  ( Plus ) to Tapah ( original winding road ) OR Simpang Pulai ( less winding and wider new road ) which takes from 3 to 4 hours  by  car.

Regular daily public bus services / taxis  also ply these routes. 

Do check the travelling timetables at the respective boarding stations  at major towns like KL, Ipoh and Penang if you are coming by public transport.
