I'm probably going to get mugged now, but what the hell... I've never done one of these "what's in your bag" shots. As my Case Logic backpack (not pictured) continued to get heavier and heavier, I decided to shoot just exactly what was making it so my back is permanently bent to the right side. Let me start by saying that when I was living in Hong Kong, I carried everything in one suitcase and one backpack. I learned the value of how to be a mobile design studio and be ready to work or pitch ideas anywhere. The world is too fast paced to be chained to a chair. I quickly grew accustomed to heavy inconspicuous bags that don't advertise the thousands of dollars worth of equipment I carry around. Even today, my backpack does not look like it would carry any of this. And to top it all off, I think I only paid about 26 bucks for the bag. At any rate, here's the list, in no particular order: Macbook Pro (in an inCase protector) and power cord, iPad 32GB, iPhone 3GS, iPod Video 60GB, Nikon D90, SB-600 flash, Flash Sync cord, 35mm f1.8 lens, 50mm f1.8 lens, 18-55mm lens, 85mm f1.8, gucci glasses, $10 sunglasses, Nikon remote, circular polarizer, Western Digital 250gb drive, my moleskine, pen, eraser, spare 8gb SD card, headphones and my bluetooth travel mouse. (not pictured is 10-20mm Sigma lens, which is mounted to my backup camera, the d50, for the shot) And feet. I always take those with me. Be prepared. For anything. Life has a funny way of throwing opportunities at you when you seemingly cannot capitalize on them. Do your best to be ready for any unforeseen scenarios and there will be nothing in the world to stop you. (side note to all those pointing out how ridiculously fitted the image is. I was an art director and all elements must have their place. Yes, the insanity runs that deep).
