Topcon RE Super

The Topcon RE Super appeared in 1963 and was the first 35mm single lens reflex to feature through-the-lens metering. It worked by using a special reflex mirror, etched with transparent lines that allowed light through the mirror to a meter cell behind it, while still reflecting most of the light up to the viewfinder.
