STEWART

I am searching for information on my great, grandparents on my father's side. WILLIAM STEWART AND JOSEPHINE STEWART moved from the Germantown area of Philadelphia, PA and moved to Camden County, NJ. According to my grandmother's birth records, she would have been a teenager at the time of their move. My grandmother's name is RITA STEWART. This was their only child. Apparently, Rita went to St. Joseph's High School. (according to my Dad) I also know that JOSEPHINE was very sickly. This was an African-American family. If you have any information, please email me asap!

WILHELM - SCHNURR (SCHMURR)

Maria (nee Schnurr) Wilhelm children, Lousia & Mary were adopted in 1919 by John & Catherine Wilhelm. The adoption papers are from a Camden New Jersey book (Book D). Maria husband, Joseph, died in Philadelphia, Pa, on October 16, 1918. Maria was baptized at "a" St Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church on January 6, 1886. Her father was Xaverius Schmurr or Schnurr, as indicated on the marriage record, dated November 23, 1909. She "supposedly had sisters and brothers", so it is unclear as to why the children were adopted by her husband brother, and from Bucks county in Pennsylvania. If anyone can provide leads as to where to determine additional information, please respond.
