  • Important Congregational Meeting Announced by Calvin's Infrastructure Task Force for Sunday, November 12 following the 10 am Worship Service At this meeting the Infrastructure Task Force will be looking to expand the mandate that was originally approved by the congregation at the meeting on June 4, 2017. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

  • Bio from Pastoral Care Minister - Pastor Susan DeHaan DLM-R - Oct 2017 Mother to 4, and Nana to 7, I now call Chalk River, Ontario, home. The death of my father in 2007 was an unexpected and life changing blow.  After a time of self-reflection, I discovered my love and care for others and my commitment to the church was actually a calling and in 2009.  I committed my life to ministry.  After a year in discernment I entered the DLM Program and began ministering to the community of Chalk River at St. Andrew’s United in July 2010.  I am also the chaplain to Branch 562 Royal Canadian Legion, Chalk River.  I completed my Designated Lay Minister (DLM) training and was Recognized in January of 2015.   • Task Force on Re-purposing of Calvin Infrastructure Participants so far are Stacey Mortson, Glenn Pearson, Robert McLaughlin, Brenda Smith, Bill Metcalf, Neil Lloyd, Sue Doucette, Dalton Stone, Gail Steeves, Doug Steeves, John Potter, Judy  Harms-Potter, Lisa Pritchard, Ken Pritchard, Marielle McLaughlin, Jim Hunton, Michael Mulvihill, and Rev. Margie Patterson. Not all attend on a regular basis. The task force is open to anyone at Calvin United Church. Please attend and participate to learn about and contribute to the process. You may want to attend only certain meetings, e.g. , discussion about what seniors need in their apartments. Meetings are generally Mondays at 4:30 pm.
