Maryland Mensa Scholarship Essay Contest
Due January 15, 2016

SAT               ACT 

The SAT is offered seven times a year at Allegany High School. Most students take the SAT for the first time during the spring of their junior year and a second time during the fall of their senior year. The next SAT date is January 23. (Late) registration deadline is January 12. The cost is $82.50.  This will be the final administration of the current SAT.  After January, the new SAT format will be in effect.

         What about the ACT?        

The ACT is given at ACM on February 6, April 9, and June 11.  Registration deadline for the February 6 test is January 8, 2016. The test fee is $39.50, or $56.50 if you also take the writing portion of the test.
