Fast food...for some, it's a treat, to others: a daily indulgence. Some don't think it's fit for consumption...and it isn't. For me, fast food is an addiction. It's a soothing mechanism for those times when I'm under stress...or when I have to do something I don't want to do, like go to the DMV. It's convenience, it's cheap, it's F A S T. I let it go for a year about 5 years back and lost a GRIP of weight. Who wouldn't when you cut out an estimated 4,000 cal a week of unwanted calories (not to mention the saturated fat.)
