For those of you who have been following my "Project 365" (although I'm way behind on adding pics), you may remember that I posted a picture on January 3, 2011, of a bikini I bought with the goal of losing enough weight to fit into it "by summer." Guess what? Summer's here, and here is the progress I've made so far: In April, the weather was getting warmer; and I decided it was time to get serious about my weight loss goals. In addition to watching what I eat (especially elminating as many carbs as possible after lunchtime) and exercise, I learned about a company (AdvoCare) that sells nutritional supplements that noy only help maintain wellness but assist with weight loss in a healthy way (the only way I wanted to do it). On April 12, 2011 (left), I weighed in at 172 lbs and didn't dare think of posting that picture the way I looked in the bikini. But just 6 weeks later on May 28, 2011 (right), I had lost 13 lbs and weighed 159. As of today (June 8, 2011), I've lost 2 more lbs and weigh 157--just 7 lbs away from my goal! In another month to 6 weeks, I should be there! :)

So, i mentioned in yesterday's pic i've been sick. I've had reflux for about 20 years now with only the occassional flare up and I take Prevacid on a daily basis. Nathan and I recently joined Quick Weight Loss which is a totally healthy eating plan. In addition to healthy eating, they push you to buy supplements. One of the supplements is called a Quick Boost Drink which you mix with water. They were fully aware of my reflux problem but told me it was safe anyway. So I drank it and my damn reflux has been out of control and when I say out of control, i mean OUT OF CONTROL. Of course, I stopped drinking it...i didn't realize it was so full of caffeine. I attributed the "boost" to the Vitamin B complex in it, which should have no affect on my stomach. So my doctor sent me to a gastro specialist since it's been so long since I've seen one. This is what I stared at until I saw the doctor. A week from today, I'll have an endoscopy (camera down the throat) to make sure i don't have an ulcer or whatever. Yay.
