TAGGED! 8 Random things about me
TAGGED! 8 Random things about me
So, I didn't get officially tagged, I got invited to be :) I thought it would be nice to try and write down 8 random facts about me. 1. I'm very insecure about myself. Mostly my appearance. I think I'm too fat and ugly. (The above picture was taken September 2008 during a glamourshoot, I gained more weight since then and even if it isn't supposed to be hard to look good in a professional shoot, there were ony like 3 good pics of me, out of 50!) About 3 years ago I actually lost 20 kilos, but they're all back again. I felt pretty then, and skinny and secure. But I wasn't myself at that time, and the only thing I was certain about, was my exterior. I doubted the rest. So, I guess that subconsciously I don't want to go back to that place anymore because it wasn't right either. I have to learn to accept myself for who I am and what I am capable of. 2. I lost my mom about 4 years ago and even if I have adjusted with time, life just isn't the same without her. It's like everything is a bit less colourful so to say. She had a strong believe in the supernatural, she was sort of a psychich. I grew along with her, believing what she believed too. But ever since 'they' took her away from me I'm having a hard time believing. I can't see why someone like her had to be taken away. Not just for my sake, but for all those people she helped and loved. For all the good she could have done. And I just know she could pull it off. I believed in her, more than anything. 3. I love to watch shows and movies about the supernatural. Harry Potter, Supernatural, Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dark Angel, Roswell, you name it. Recently I discovered reading again, I used to love it when I was younger until I had to read SO much books for school they ruined it for me. I want to become a writer someday. I love to write as much as I do reading. I lose myself in another world and it's great. I envy people who have writing skills. I envy people with beautiful singing voices and musical skills too. I'd love to be a singer too but I'm being realistic here :) 4. I hoard stuff, got that from both my mom AND dad. When I discover a new interest or hobby, I totally LOSE myself in it. I have to have everything there is about it, do it all. At first it was like that with love. I lost myself when I fell in love with my hubby, it took me severaly years to find myself again. Now, my attic is like a scrapbookstore, bead-paradise, fabric-factory, I own 9 Blythes and am building them a huge house with everything in it (they own more than 100 pairs of shoes!), I have a dragon collection of over 250 items, etc. I own over 120 necklaces, 100 bracelets and a gazillion earrings. When I love an actor/singer (and yes, I fall in love frequently with those unobtainable men) (another quirky thing about me) I buy all their CDs, DVDs, posters, etc. Keanu Reeves, Hugh Jackman, Jared Leto, Jensen Ackles are/were all men that rock(ed) my boat! 5. Even though I LOVE classical ballet, I'm no good at it. It just keeps enchanting me, it's like magic to me. Kind of like a (sweet sorrowful) memory from a past. I started ballet again when I was 24 and I even got to do points, but I look like a huge hippo. 6. I suffer from endometriosis which is a pain in the belly, litterally. It has prevented me from having kids for almost 5 years now. I am undergoing my 4th IVF attempt as we speak, and hope to become a mother one day soon. 7. I love all things England. The language, the island itself. Hubby and I went there 3 times and every time I saw those 'white cliffs of Dover' from the boat, it felt like coming home. I love Arthurian legends as well, hence my name, Lady Guinevere. 8. I wish I weren't so lazy all the time. Instead of hanging on the couch watching telly, I wish I had more energy. My creative juices don't flow as much as I want them too, it's like they're linked to my hormones. I want to scrap and sew every day, and fast, but I can't.

LOLLIPOPS CIGARETTES
Lollipops turn into cigarettes. Hugs turn into sex Bikes become cars Love turns into lust Face paint became make-up Orange juice turns into vodka Nap time turns into detentions The innocent ones turn to drugs Remember when: We had no idea what racism was, and the farthest we got with the word “race” was who could run the fastest. If we held our best friends hand of the same gender, we didn’t have to worry about being called “gay” We could wear costumes to the grocery store, and no one had a problem with it We didn’t care about what label was inside our shirt, the only label you could find was our name which our mothers sewed in so we didn’t lose our clothes. If our mother wanted a hug in front of our group of friends, we were not ashamed, nor embarrassed, we were happy and content The colour of our hair never had anything to do with our intelligence. Make-up was just another version of face paint to us The only thing you could catch from boys was cooties. Getting a cookie from the top shelf was the biggest achievement of our day. If we wanted a cookie and we couldn’t reach on the top of the shelf, we got inventive and used our brain to develop a way to our goal instead of giving up. War was a game that was played with tiny toy plastic soldiers and nothing more Everyday was wonderful, and we had no cares in the world If we said someone was hot it was based on there actual body temperature… not appearance We wanted to become pokemon, unicorns, animals, dinosaurs, princesses, superman, the incredible hulk, and we believed it was possible. Nothing was out of our reach We used to actually want to do the dishes and sweep the floor, but we were too short to reach the top of the broom, and the knives were to sharp for our fragile fingers. Wearing protection meant wearing knee pads, or a helmet Our parents were our heroes Weight was never an issue everyone was just… them. We got cuts and bruises that weren’t intentional At the end of the rainbow was a pot of gold, but we didn’t want the gold, we just wanted the pot so that we could use it as a huge drum. Pot wasn’t a drug it was something that you’re parents used to cook you spaghetti When we saw the cop’s we didn’t run in fear or get nervous, we went up and asked if we could play with there gun. And finally, remember when we couldn’t wait to grow up…
