March 27 - Fitness Sackboy
Day 86/365: As part of my continued weight-loss I now run on my treadmill every Saturday and Sunday (currently I'm doing around 60 minutes of interval training each time)... however today I was really struggling to get myself motivated to get going. Thankfully, Sackboy was on hand to show me how it's done, donning his sweatband on his head and hitting the running track! Exercise is an important way to treat diabetes. This is true whether you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes. By exercising, I can keep my heart healthy, reduce my blood sugar, take less insulin, and stay fitter for when I'm playing with the children. I've got a treadmill in the basement and I try to use it 2-3 times each week. I can watch a little TV and burn 150 calories at the same time. There is no cure for diabetes. Yet.
