• The energy needed to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water through 1 °C (now usually defined as 4.1868 joules)
• The energy needed to raise the temperature of 1 kilogram of water through 1 °C, equal to one thousand small calories and often used to measure the energy value of foods

That was my dad arguing with the wax figure of Einstein in Hong Kong's Madame tussaud's. :D Frankly, although I have been quite a traveller myself, this is the first trip I ever made with my parents. They were always busy earning money when I was young, and when they retired, it was my time to be busy with work and other stuff. It was during this short trip last week that I realised how much my dad has aged over the last 2 years. Mom is still as fit as a bull, but my dad's knees are giving him lots of problems. I have to constantly remind myself to take frequent breaks, look out for lifts, take cabs, find ways to cut the queues with packaged tickets, etc etc.... I guess the shock I had when my dad nearly fell down the stairs at the subway really hit me hard. Out of sight, and out of mind. Being away from home last few years sort of allow me to live in the disillusion that my parents are status quo when I left home. I don't know how to describe the feeling, but trust me, it is indeed sad to see them aging.

Well obviously, this picture is not taken by me LOL.. But I did add this boy to the photo.. You see the story behind this that in our Math's class, our teacher hanged pictures of different mathematicians and physicists. She said these pictures are here to inspire you. What happened is that this picture of Albert Einstein is exactly in front of where I usually sit and I think it had the totally opposite effect on me :P I always keep looking at him during classes and think is that what numbers do to a person if you really go in depth? (Because of his old face and messy hair). Don’t get me wrong, I respect him for his discoveries and I don’t hate maths nor physics. Yet this what comes into my mind every single time I look at him :S :P hehee
