Phon Savell - Head Coach
  • Swimming: Caldwell Swim Club from 8-18 years old, Daniel Dewey Sportsmanship Award Winner; C of I Swim Team 2005-2009 - 4-time NAIA National Meet Qualifier
  • Coaching: CSC Assistant Coach 2005-2007, 2009-Present, High School Swimming 2009-Present
  • Other Occupations: currently teaching english at Jefferson Middle School in Caldwell!  Previously Eagle High School/Mountain View High School ELL teacher; Zumba Fitness Instructor for Body Renew Fitness
  • Past Occupations: Lifeguard at Caldwell Pool, Weekend Custodian at the College of Idaho
  • Schooling: Caldwell High graduate '05, College of Idaho graduate '09 (Creative Writing, Education); currently working to finish her thesis for her Master in the Art of Teaching
  • Interests/Loves: Reading, Dragons, Running, Tall socks, Bright colors, Teaching English, Writing, Gatorade, Zumba Fitness, Disney movies, Family, Dean Martin, Steak, the color Green, Chuck Taylor High Tops, Walking on the beach, just about anything College of Idaho, Boise State Football, Celebrating random holidays like National Rubber Ducky Day, Summer... Swimmers who work hard every practice!
Kendall Taylor - Assistant Coach



Jake Klassen - Assistant Coach
  • Swimming: Jake holds the Capital High School record in six different events - including time of 4.14.26 in the 400-yard IM and 52.28 in the 100-yard butterfly; he placed second in the 200-yard IM and third in the 500-yard freestyle at the 2013 Idaho High School State Championships; he competed for the Boise YMCA swim club.  He is currently swimming with the College of Idaho and during the 2015-2016 season Jake qualified for the NAIA Championships in three individual events, winning the consolation final in both the 200-fly (1:53.60) and the 400-IM (4:06.58); record a top time of 1:56.57 in the 200-IM.  He served a mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day since from 2016-2018 and, since returning this season, he has achieved an NAIA "A" standard in several events including the 100 and 200 Butterfly, 200 and 400IM, qualifying him for the NAIA national championships.  
  • Coaching: Jake coached with the summer development league in Boise from 2014-2016 building a strong program at Fairmont where he coached several individual city champions.  He has worked as a private coach for a high school state contender.
  • Schooling: Jake graduated from Capital High in 2015.  He is currently a sophomore at College of Idaho studying exercise physiology, pre-med and psychology.
