Watering Swimmers, Growing Talent since 1935

Welcome to Caldwell Swim Club!

Our website will provide you with information about our team, forms, and calendar of events.  It is a great source of information for current swim families and prospective swim families alike!  If you have any questions or comments, please contact us at caldwellstingrays@gmail.com.

We are a year-round, competitive swim team sanctioned by USA Swimming.  Our coaches teach the art of swimming utilizing innovative training techniques including dryland cross training.  Drill work and fast swimming are what kids do in the pool, but practices combine swimming drills, endurance, speed training and dryland cross training.

From September through May we practice at the College of Idaho Aquatic Center.  Starting the winter term (1/2), we practice Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and Friday of each week from 6:30-8pm and 10:30-noon on Saturdays schedule permitting.  You can check out the calendar for any practice breaks or other schedule changes.

Swim Levels
Copper - this is our bridge group for kids 8&U.  Monthly dues are $35/month.  Practice is Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8pm where we offer specially designed practices for these swimmers.  Other days are optional.
Bronze - this is our entry level group of kids who are just getting started with competitive swimming.  This group is focused on stroke development, starting with freestyle and backstroke and advancing to breast and butterfly.  Kids move from Bronze to Silver when they can successfully complete a legal Individual Medley race.  Practice 3-4 days a week.  Attendance Tuesday/Thursday is highly encouraged.
Silver - this group of kids is competing regularly and focused on improving their technique and speed.  Practice 4-5 days a week any days from 6:30-8pm.
Gold - this is our most competitive group focused on improving times, endurance and meet performance.  Practice 5-6 days a week.

Dues for bronze, silver and gold are $55/month.

In addition to the monthly dues, as a sanctioned USA Swimming club, each swimmer must be a member of USA Swimming.  For 2020, this cost is $72 for the entire year for a full-access membership or $20 for a FLEX membership which allows up to 2 meets.  There are seasonal and 150-day memberships available.

We have an annual registration fee of $25 per swimmer or $35 per family with more than 1 swimmer.  This fee covers general administrative costs associated with annual registrations and also covers relay fees during the year.  This fee is prorated on a quarterly schedule.

USA swimming offers an Outreach membership for families who meet certain financial threshholds.  Both USA swimming dues and our club fees are discounted significantly for families who meet these qualifications.

Parent Involvement
We are a parent run club so we rely on parent volunteers throughout the year - whether volunteering at meets, supporting fundraisers, being involved in the club board, or all of the above!  We are a small club so we need everyone to be an active participant.

Summer Schedule
During the summer, we transition to the Caldwell Municipal Pool.  Silver & Gold swimmers swim mornings for 1.5-2 hours.  Copper and Bronze - as well as our Silver and Gold swimmers seeking additional stroke work - swim M,W,F over the noon hour.  This is subject to change based on schedules and participation.

SafeSport - Keeping kids safe is our number 1 priority.

CSC offers a two-week trial period for all new swimmers ages 6 and up. It is free with no obligation to join the team. To initiate your free trial, please submit the Registration Form. If you have questions, email caldwellstingrays@gmail.com.
