Royal Rejoicing

Materials
1. cake - this pan takes one box mix or one two-layer cake
2. 2 batches of frosting - about 6 cups
3. green food coloring/dye
4. red food coloring/dye
6. tip #3
7. tip #12 (for the roses)
8. tip #104 (for the roses)
9. tip #16
10. tip #2D
11. tip #67
12. a spatula/knife
13. tin foil

Time:
To bake - about 35 minutes but check the recipe
To decorate - about 2 hours
Total - about 3 hours

Decorate:
1. Bake and cool cake
2. Prepare cake surface by covering it in tin foil
3. Prepare icing - 3 cups of thin consistency, 2 cups of medium consistency, and 1 cup stiff
4. With the thin white consistency frost the cake
5. With medium white consistency and tip #16, put a shell border along the bottom of the cake, the
top of the cake, and in the center of the cake - when you bake the cake, it is clear from the indents
where you should put the borders
6. Dye stiff consistency frosting red
7. With tips #12 and #104 and the red frosting make 6 roses. Place these in the center of the cake
8. Dye 1 cup of thin consistency frosting green
9. Use tip #3 and green frosting to create a decorative border
10. Use tip #67 and green frosting to place leaves around the roses
11. Dye whatever medium consistency you have left red
12. Use tip #2D and the red medium consistency to place drop flowers at the corners of the cross -
this isn't necessary but it adds some color to the cake

Note: Normally you would make a shell border with tip #21, however you want to make these borders using #16 so as to not be overbearing next to the roses. The flowers should be your main emphasis. It is the same technique, just using a smaller tip.
