Crown Pan


The perfect pan for your little prince or princess. How Majestic!





The Princess Crown

Materials:
1. Cake - this pan takes one box mix or one two-layer cake
2. a batch of frosting - about 3 cups
3. pink food coloring/dye
4. tip #3
5. tip #16
6. a spatula/knife
7. tin foil

Time:
To bake - about 35 minutes but check the recipe
To decorate - about an hour and a half
Total - about 2 and a half hours

Decorate:
1. Bake and cool cake
2. Prepare cake surface by covering it in tin foil
3. Prepare your frosting - 1/4 cup is medium consistency and the rest (about 2 and 3/4 cup) is thin consistency
4. Dye about a 1 and 1/4 cup of thin consistency frosting in light pink
5. Dye about 1/4 cup of thin consistency frosting dark pink
6. Dye medium consistency frosting dark pink
7. Frost the sides of the cake and the top of the cake (that isn't the crown) in thin white frosting
8. Frost the top of the cake (the part that is the crown) in thin light pink frosting
9. In thin dark pink frosting and with tip #3 add decorative dots and lines to the crown as well as desired writing
10. At the base of the crown use medium dark pink frosting to make a rosette border
11. At the top of the crown (where the jewels should be) use tip #3 and white frosting to make swirls for decorations

 The Turkey

Materials:
1. cake - this pan takes one box mix or one two-layer cake
2. a batch of frosting - about 3 cups
3. tip #16
4. a spatula/knife
5. orange food coloring/dye
6. yellow food coloring/dye
7. brown food coloring/dye
8. black food coloring/dye
9. toothpicks
10. tin foil

Time:
To bake - about 35 minutes but check the recipe
To decorate - about 2 hours
Total - about 3 hours

Decorate:
1. Bake and cool cake
2. Prepare cake surface by covering it in tin foil
3. Prepare frosting - about 1/3 cup should be medium consistency and the rest (about 2 and 2/3 cups) should be thin
4. Frost with white frosting the sides of the cake and the part of the crown where the jewels would be
5. Dye 1/3 cup of medium consistency brown
6. Dye 1/2 cup of thin consistency frosting orange
7. Dye 1/2 cup of thin consistency frosting yellow
8. Frost with orange frosting a stripe of the cake - it should look like a rainbow
9. Frost with yellow frosting a stripe next to the orange stripe - it should look like a rainbow
10. Using tip #16 and the brown frosting, make stars to outline the body of the turkey (it is a small circle on top of a large circle)
11. Using tip #16 and the brown frosting, make wings for the turkey
12. Using toothpicks and white frosting, make two circles for the eyes
13. Using toothpicks and the orange frosting, make a triangle for the beak
14. Dye a small amount of icing black for the pupils. Use a toothpick to attach to the cake
15. Use toothpicks to outline in the stripes the feathers.
16. Use toothpicks to gently remove the excess frosting from the cake
